HTC 10 – The new flagship smartphone

HTC unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the HTC 10.

It’s more of what you’re looking for in a flagship phone. Unparalleled performance. Superb 24-bit Hi-Res sound. The world’s first* Optical Image Stabilization in both front and back cameras. And one of the highest smartphone camera rankings ever from DxOMark. All in a beautifully crafted metal unibody. equipped with what it claims is “the best camera available on the market”.

The new handset, joins other recently launched Android smartphones who claims to have the “WORLD’S BEST CAMERA PHONE” clan, the Samsung Galaxy S7, the LG G5 and Huawei P9.

The HTC 10 claims to sport the most advanced smartphone camera available, with a front facing 5 megapixel lens, and a rear cam of 12 megapixels, equipped with dual Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), an industry first.

HTC is using OIS in both the cameras in a move designed to counter the effect of shaky hands when taking pictures.

In terms of design, the phone has been crafted with an all metal body with a 5.2 inch quad HD display.

Other notable features include the device’s sound quality, with the ability to record and play 24-bit audio, “capturing 256 times more detail than standard recording”.

An improvement of 30% in battery life. That’s about two days of usage according the HTC.
