Viber Launches ‘Public Accounts’ for Businesses and Brands to Engage With Their Global Audience

Viber’s new business solution will enable brands of all sizes to tailor the way they wish to engage with their clients and potential clients.

 

SRI LANKA – November 9, 2016 – Viber, one of the world’s leading messaging apps, announces today the launch of ‘Public Accounts’ which will allow businesses, brands and public figures to engage with Viber’s more than 800 million unique registered users in a way that is personal, intuitive and seamless.

Through Public Accounts, Viber is now offering a suite of solutions for businesses, brands, and public figures to engage with their audiences through the use of various 1-on-1 chat options or social broadcasting all on one platform.

How It Works

As a channel that encourages both engagement and personal connections, Public Accounts can be used across sales, marketing and support teams, for announcements and more.

Once a Public Account is created, the admin and participants are provided with the tools to communicate at scale in an easy, direct and personalized way with their audience, bringing the brand’s personality to life. This includes the opportunity to message their followers in a number of different ways, such as through their existing CRM, manually through one-on-one live chats or chatbots. In addition, Public Accounts provides the following tools:

  • Discovery channels to easily find businesses
  • Direct integration through Viber’s API
  • Communicate at scale through Public Chats

Public Accounts is available globally today, with Global partners like The Huffington Post, Yandex ,The Weather Channel and Sri Lankan partners like Takas.lk and Seylan Bank who will introduce their solutions soon.
