OPPO held a launch media conference at Galadari Hotel to introduce the OPPO F Series to Sri Lanka on February 18th 2016, which was officially announced in January. I had the opportunity to attend the launch event and experience the OPPO camera phones at the ‘Experience Zone‘.
Kevin Law, Brand Manager OPPO Sri Lanka took the stage to do the welcome speech and highlight the achievements of the company. And then Tharanga Weerasinghe, Senior Brand Officer gave an introduction of the Brand OPPO. Followed by Sadun Manage, Product Manager with his product speech.
The Selfie Expert
According to OPPO’s research, people use the phones front cam more often than rear. Do you? Therefore OPPO has focused most on the selfie cam to make sure your selfie will be clearer every time you take one 😉
The OPPO F1 houses an 8-megapixel front facing camera with a wide f/2.0 aperture lens and a sensor size of ¼ inches. This allows for more light to enter the camera so you can take a clear selfie even in less ideal lighting conditions. The selfie gesture control works really well. All you have to do is raise your hand in front of the camera and F1 activates the timer when it detects your palm.
The price was revealed by Daniel Cao, CEO of OPPO Sri Lanka. The F1 is priced at Rs.36,990. The handset will start selling in early March and will be available in gold and rose gold. Key specifications are as follows:
