After using it for sometimes, I felt that this is a perfect device for anyone who thinks their work is not just limited to their work desk. Reason being, the Latitude 10 fully supports x86-based applications, which mean you can install and run practically any application that you use at your workplace, I mean on your PC For testing purpose I ran FoxPro for Windows, a very old application which I used back then as a payroll accountant. The application worked smoothly, just like in the good old days, and I felt nostalgic while typing on the command window

From a business’ point of view, purchasing the Dell Latitude 10 over an iPad or Android Tablet for employees use is much cost effective in the long run. Why? Because porting your existing business system to new platform will cost you money and time. It’s not just a one-time cost, is it? Plus it will be hassle free for the IT staff to incorporate to the existing infrastructure of the company and manage.

In terms of connectivity the Dell Latitude 10 comes with a SD Card slot, miniHDMI port, standard 3.5mm stereo headphone/microphone combo jack and a full-size USB port, to which you can plug-in a mouse, keyboard, printer, broadband dongle, you name it…

Interestingly, the Latitude 10 has two charging ports side by side, a micro-USB charging port and a proprietary 40-pin charging port which is also used as the docking connector. I was wondering why Dell shipped the Latitude10 with such a bulky charger. Problem sorted, use a micro-USB charger when you are on the move

I was highly impressed by it’s battery life. I did not do any standard battery tests, however I’m sure there will be enough and more juice to survive a whole work day.

The slates reinforced magnesium alloy frame, the rubberised edges, and knowing that the 10.1-inch IPS LCD display is protected by a scratch proof Corning Gorilla Glass, gives you the confidence to toss it on the ground and stand on it.

And my overall impression on the Latitude 10 is that it will be a good work place companion but not on personal level.

The back cover look good as the original, or I would say better. The reason is, as you can see from the above image, the case provides a small lip projection slightly higher than the camera lens cover, unlike the original cover which is flat, leveling with your S3′s camera lens and the flasher. I presume you know what um trying to suggest Exactly, there is less chance of your rear camera lens cover getting scratched with the Samsung Galaxy S3 Flip Cover.

Overall, the Official Samsung Galaxy S3 flipcover gives a fairly a decent protection against daily wear and tear. And I actually liked it fliping it open, have to admit it was a bit hassle until I got used to one handed flipping.

The only disadvantage I see is that you need do flippit to have a glance at your screen, however I did not feel so, because um used to this Smart Alert – where your Galaxy S3 give you a vibrating nudge, if you got a message or miss calls as you pick up the handset.

As you can see from the above pictures, it is a top notch casing, designed perfectly to snugly fit the phone. They say a pictures worth a thousand words, I’ve got 55,000 words worth of pictures over here  snapped from every angle possible, to give you an idea how good it will look on your smartphone. I am truely impressed with it’s built quality.

Yes, it is a BIT bulky but worth the compromise, since you get:

1. Protection to your device against scratches from daily use
2. And for that peace of mind, knowing that the device is safe from short drops and falls. I remember how vulnerable I felt when my kids take the phone on to their hands, but not anymore with an OtterBox protection.

I’ve been using this OtterBox protection casing for almost two weeks now. And I feel that I should have wrapped my expensive smartphone with an OtterBox, soon as I bought it. Had I used an OtterBox casing, surely, I could have avoided those scratches on the back camera lens, which you can see from the above picture. Don’t you think  I could have fetch a higher re-selling value if not for the scratches?

The first ever browser to have included a private mode was the Safari browser, way back in the year 2005. Since then this feature has been used and adopted by many other browsers. The concept was instantly popular and followed many updates and improvements. Privacy mode only does not store the data and information for a every session.

How to do it

Switching to private mode is very easy. Many popular browsers like Firefox, chrome, opera and others have option for private browsing. The private mode opens a new window, especially for private browsing. As soon as you close the window, your single session of private browsing is deactivated. If you want to browse again, you have to switch on the private mode again. Any user using the computer will not be able to trace your histories or data.

For a cell phone, there are several applications available on the internet for private browsing. The web browsers compatible with androids also have private mode inbuilt in them. You can activate the private mode and do your browsing. If you want more of a permanent application, you can go for the android apps that are specifically made for browsing online privately.

You must keep in mind that it does not remove all forms of history. If you download a file in a private mode, it will be saved on the machine. If you want to hide that file, you will have to download completely different software for that. Private mode also only hides all the local data only. Your IP address cannot be hidden. It is also the best way to use when using your bank account details.

So if you are just looking for browsing, the private modes in the android browsers it’s quite safe and easy.

I’ve been using this app since 2009 and here’s a review that I did back then on Nokia N82. This time I tested the Touchnote with a Samsung GalaxyS as well as on Huawei Media Pad.

It has an intuitive interface. Therefore you will not find it difficult to run through the whole process. Once you open the application and tap on the “Send a postcard” button, you will get four option to choose your image, either to take a fresh photograph from your cameraphone; or to choose an image from the photo gallery on your devise; fetch one from your Facebook photos or select one from the Olympic Games gallery. Once you choose your image, you have the option to re-size, move and rotate the image to your liking.

Next you add the recipient’s address, either by selecting from the address book on your device, or can be entered manually, and in the next screen you will be asked to enter your personlised message. Then you are presented to preview your card as illustrated in the following images.

The cards are nice, printed on glossy card stock, 6 x 4.25 inches in size. I created the cards on August 01st and I received it on 6th of August. Why don’t you try sending a card to your loved ones. You can download this app from the Google Play.

As the package names implies, they are all for late night internet surfing or rather downloading,  starting from midnight to six in the morning.

I believe Mobitel and Dialog made a strategical move by targeting their postpaid customers to stay away from network overload issues. Where as Hutch offering theirs to all prepaid customers. When comparing all three off peak night time plans, I feel Hutch is offering the best package. When you compare Hutch with Mobitel,  e.g. by activate 2 Midnight Packs, you get 8GB for two hundred and eighty rupees, where as Mobitel’s 8gig pack will cost you Rs.350. On the other hand Hutch beats Dialog on the validity period of the packages, since Dialog is only offering one-night stands But the question is… Is Midnight Packs really worth the money? Let’s do some speed test see if they really deliver what you and me expect, the download SPEED!

As you can see the results, Dialog’s Nighttime Package download speed was good. I was able to download a 146MB zip file in less then 20 minutes. But have to mention that on my first attempt, the download stopped at 27.1MB. I had no problem in surfing the net and watching Youtube using the Nighttime Package. On the other hand the Midnight Pack, browsing the net was somewhat manageable, however downloading the same 146MB zip file was never accomplished, and watching a clip on Youtube was a pain.

Unfortunately I did not have a Mobitel postpaid SIM to run a test. Anyone of you using Mobitel Late Night Internet Add-on Plan? Please do tell us your experience with all three off-peak data plans.
